Prince Kenny Adekanmi, popularly known as Kenny Kunma, has emerged as the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for the Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking after his declaration, Adekanmi said his decision to contest followed extensive consultations with stakeholders, community leaders and residents across the constituency.
He stressed the need for effective representation at the National Assembly, noting that the constituency requires leadership focused on addressing the needs of the people and driving development.
According to him, the federal constituency office should be repositioned to serve as a vehicle for growth and improved service delivery to residents.
Adekanmi explained that the NDC was chosen as the platform to pursue his political ambition after careful consideration and consultations.
He described his decision to contest as a patriotic responsibility aimed at improving the lives of constituents and promoting community development.
The candidate expressed confidence in his ability to provide people-centred and transformative representation if elected, while calling on residents to support his aspiration.
He also appreciated the leadership and members of the NDC, as well as supporters across the constituency, for their confidence in his vision and leadership.
