
Emergency responders are racing against time after a two-storey building collapsed on Monday at Baale Street in the Ajuwon/Akute area along the Lagos-Ogun border, with several persons feared trapped beneath the rubble.
Three victims, including a grandmother, her toddler grandchild and a male resident on the top floor of the building, were rescued from the debris and taken to hospital for treatment.
Reports indicate that the Ogun State Emergency Rescue Agency has been contacted to commence search and rescue operations for other occupants believed to be trapped.
As of the time of filing this report, rescue personnel were yet to arrive at the scene.
Authorities are expected to provide further updates as rescue efforts continue.
