Tinubu Calls for National Unity, Prays for Nigeria’s Prosperity in Makkah

President Bola Tinubu has urged Nigerians to set aside ethnic, religious and cultural differences and work collectively towards building a peaceful and prosperous nation.

The President made the appeal on Sunday during a dinner with members of his delegation in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, where he offered prayers for national unity, sustainable development and improved living conditions.

Tinubu expressed hope that Nigeria’s diversity would become an advantage in the country’s pursuit of economic growth rather than a source of division.

“May Almighty Allah bless Nigeria, convert our diversity into prosperity as a country,” he prayed.

He emphasised the importance of mutual understanding, peaceful coexistence and patriotism, urging citizens to strengthen the bonds that unite them.

The President also sought divine protection for Nigerians living at home and abroad, alongside wisdom and courage for those entrusted with leadership responsibilities.

According to him, Nigeria possesses the human capital, natural resources and entrepreneurial potential required to achieve meaningful national development.

He expressed confidence that collective determination and cooperation among citizens would help the country overcome its challenges.

The gathering also featured prayers and expressions of support from political leaders and business executives accompanying the President.

Kwara State Governor and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, commended Tinubu’s commitment to national development.

AbdulRazaq assured the President of continued prayers from the governors, asking Allah to grant him wisdom and strength in making decisions affecting the country.

“May Allah continue to strengthen you in making the right decisions, strengthen your wisdom, your boldness, your audacity and your courage,” he said.

Similarly, BUA Group Chairman, Abdulsamad Rabiu, described the gathering as an opportunity for members of the delegation to pray for Nigeria’s stability and economic advancement.

Rabiu praised Tinubu’s dedication to the country and pledged continued support for his administration.

“We will continue to support His Excellency in whatever capacity we can,” he stated.

The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, also offered prayers for the President.

He sought divine guidance for Tinubu to deliver justice and good governance to Nigerians, irrespective of their backgrounds.

Among the dignitaries present were Governors Mai Mala Buni of Yobe, Uba Sani of Kaduna, Mohammed Namadi of Jigawa, Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto and Babagana Zulum of Borno.

Other attendees included National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu and Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare Ali Pate.

Oando Chief Executive Officer Wale Tinubu, Special Adviser on Political Matters Ibrahim Masari and Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila also attended.

The dinner provided an opportunity for the delegation to reflect on national challenges while reaffirming their commitment to Nigeria’s unity, peace and development.
