Saudi Crown Prince Invites Tinubu to Future Investment Initiative

President Bola Tinubu has received an invitation from the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, to attend the 10th edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) scheduled to hold in Riyadh in October 2026.

The invitation was delivered on Friday by the Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Nigeria, Yousef Albalawi, during an audience with the President at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

According to a post on the Saudi Embassy’s official X page, Ambassador Albalawi conveyed the invitation on behalf of the Saudi Crown Prince, encouraging President Tinubu to participate in the landmark global investment forum.

Tinubu expressed appreciation to the Saudi leadership for the invitation and commended the cordial relationship between Nigeria and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The President noted that cooperation between both countries continues to expand across several sectors and reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties.

The Future Investment Initiative, often referred to as the “Davos in the Desert,” is Saudi Arabia’s flagship investment conference. Organised annually by the Future Investment Initiative Institute, the forum brings together world leaders, investors, policymakers and business executives to discuss global economic trends and investment opportunities.

This year’s edition is expected to focus on artificial intelligence, digital transformation, energy transition, healthcare innovation, infrastructure development and sustainable economic growth.
