Supporters Celebrate Senator Adeola at 57 Amid Growing 2027 Speculation

Supporters of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, have celebrated his 57th birthday, describing his political journey as one marked by resilience, public service and leadership.

Adeola, who currently represents Ogun West Senatorial District and serves as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, marked the milestone on August 10.

The tribute highlighted his political career, which began in the Lagos State House of Assembly where he represented Alimosho Constituency II for two terms before moving to the House of Representatives and later the Senate.

After serving as senator for Lagos West, Adeola returned to Ogun State and won election to represent Ogun West Senatorial District in 2023.

As chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee, he plays a key role in Nigeria’s budget process and is recognised for his influence on fiscal policy and constituency development projects.

The article also highlighted the activities of the Yayi Empowerment Foundation, which provides scholarships, medical outreach programmes, financial support for small businesses and other social interventions across communities.

Supporters argue that his legislative experience, grassroots engagement and financial expertise have strengthened calls for him to seek higher office ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Ogun State.

They maintain that his growing political profile across Ogun West, Ogun Central and Ogun East has positioned him as a significant figure within the state’s political landscape.
