Grammy-Winning Nigerian-British Singer Talay Riley Stabbed to Death in London

British-Nigerian singer and songwriter Talay Riley has been stabbed to death in East London, prompting a murder investigation by the Metropolitan Police.

The musician, whose real name was Mark Yinka Orabiyi, was reportedly attacked on Pankhurst Avenue in Silvertown on Friday morning.

Emergency responders attended the scene but were unable to save the 35-year-old artist.

According to reports, homicide detectives attached to the Metropolitan Police Specialist Crime Command have launched investigations into the circumstances surrounding the killing.

His family confirmed his death in a statement, describing the loss as devastating and paying tribute to his accomplishments in the music industry.

Talay Riley enjoyed a successful career as a Grammy-winning and multi-platinum songwriter, collaborating with several international artists.

His brother, music producer Scribz Riley, also paid tribute on social media, describing him as a mentor and inspiration.

Several entertainment personalities, including Stormzy and Craig David, joined fans in mourning the singer’s death.

The incident has renewed concerns about knife crime in parts of London, with many calling for stronger measures to address violent attacks.

Police investigations remain ongoing.
