Veteran Nollywood actress, Ngozi Nwosu, has appealed to Nigerians for financial assistance to raise ₦30 million needed for three urgent surgeries, revealing that she has been hospitalised for three weeks and is struggling to cope with the cost of her treatment.
The actress made the appeal in an emotional video shared on her Instagram page on Thursday, where she called on fans, colleagues, friends and family members to support her as she battles a serious health condition.
A visibly emotional Nwosu said her situation had gone beyond what she could handle alone and pleaded with well-wishers not to abandon her during the difficult period.
“My people, my fans and my family, I know that you’ve not seen me in circulation for some time. I’ve been hospitalised now for three weeks. Please, the thing has gone beyond my control,” she said.
The actress, who appeared overwhelmed by her condition, disclosed that she was enduring severe pain and urgently required medical intervention.
“I need your help. Don’t let me die. I know that you people never forsake me. I’m begging you, my fans and family, don’t let me die because I am going through a lot, as in pain,” she added.
Nwosu further revealed that she is expected to undergo three life-saving surgeries and urged anyone willing to support her treatment to contact her management team.
“Please don’t let me die. If there’s anything you want to do for me, please contact my management. They’ll be there for you. Thank you. God bless you,” she said.
In the caption accompanying the video, the actress explained that seeking public assistance was a difficult decision but one necessitated by the urgency of her medical condition.
“My fans, friends, family and colleagues, this was really hard for me to do, but I can’t keep quiet anymore. I need urgent life-saving surgeries. Please don’t scroll past. Share this post and support if you can,” she wrote.
She disclosed that the total amount required for the surgeries is ₦30 million and appealed to supporters to contact her legal representative or management team for details on how to contribute.
The actress also prayed for her supporters, expressing hope that they would never have to endure a similar health challenge.
Ngozi Nwosu is widely regarded as one of Nollywood’s veteran performers, with decades of experience in television and film productions that have earned her recognition across the Nigerian entertainment industry.
