Hamzat Meets Pastor Muoka, Seeks Wider Stakeholder Support Ahead of 2027

Lagos State Deputy Governor and All Progressives Congress governorship candidate for the 2027 election, Obafemi Hamzat, has intensified stakeholder engagement efforts with a visit to the General Overseer of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries, Pastor Lazarus Muoka.

Hamzat disclosed details of the meeting on Wednesday, saying discussions centred on collaboration and collective responsibility towards building a more inclusive and prosperous Lagos.

According to the deputy governor, the engagement underscored the importance of working with religious and community leaders to advance development goals and improve the welfare of residents across the state.

“I spent time today with Pastor Lazarus Muoka at The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries. We spoke about our shared responsibility to build a Lagos that works for everyone and the importance of working together to achieve this,” Hamzat stated.

He reiterated that his political vision is anchored on service, inclusiveness and improving living conditions for Lagosians.

The deputy governor added that continued consultation with different segments of society remains essential to achieving sustainable development and responsive governance.

Hamzat’s visit comes months after he emerged as the Lagos APC consensus governorship candidate following his endorsement by the party’s Governance Advisory Council.

Political observers note that engagements with influential religious and community figures have become increasingly prominent as aspirants and political parties position themselves ahead of the 2027 governorship race.

The meeting is one of several consultations expected as political activities gradually gather momentum across the state.

With preparations for the next election cycle underway, stakeholders are expected to continue discussions around governance, development priorities and the future direction of Lagos.
