The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has explained that the delay in the printing of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) result slips is due to the ongoing mop-up examinations and the conduct of foreign-based tests.
“The printing of the 2026 UTME Original Result Slip has not yet been activated. Candidates are kindly urged to be patient as the Board has just concluded the foreign examinations and is also preparing to conduct the mop-up examination for candidates who were unable to sit for the main examination through no fault of theirs,” the statement read.
The examination body said the temporary suspension of result slip printing was necessary to allow the completion of all outstanding examination processes before candidates can access their official result slips.
“Candidates are reminded that the UTME is a ranking examination, and the Original Result Slip contains the ranking of candidates. Consequently, all necessary processes must be completed before the slips can be released,” Benjamin stated.
JAMB noted that candidates who sat for the examination outside Nigeria, as well as those participating in the mop-up exercise, are still being processed, making it impossible to fully conclude the compilation of results at this stage.
The board assured candidates that the issue was not related to any technical failure or withholding of results, stressing that normal access to result slip printing would resume once all pending examinations and result reconciliations are completed.
“As soon as the necessary adjustments are concluded, the printing portal will be activated. This will be done shortly, and candidates will be duly informed when to proceed with the printing of their result slips,” the statement added.
JAMB also urged candidates and the public to remain patient, adding that updates would be communicated through its official channels.
