Veteran Nollywood actress Hilda Dokubo has criticised President Bola Tinubu over the worsening security situation in the country, calling on the Federal Government to show greater empathy and take decisive action to protect Nigerians.
In a video shared on X on Thursday, Dokubo lamented what she described as the disconnect between government officials and ordinary citizens affected by kidnappings and violent attacks.
She argued that the extensive security arrangements surrounding political leaders had made them less aware of the daily realities faced by Nigerians.
The actress said farmers who have lost access to their farmlands due to insecurity require protection and practical solutions rather than symbolic gestures.
She also expressed concern over the plight of abducted schoolchildren and their families, describing their experiences as heartbreaking.
Dokubo urged leaders not to normalise insecurity and warned that no one is immune from its consequences.
